Masataka UO is the founder and CEO of Japan Fundraising Association, a nationwide network that promotes philanthropic giving and social impact investment in Japan, and the founder and CEO of Fundrex.Co.Ltd, a leading consulting company which provides strategic development, impact management, and system consulting for more than 150 nonprofits and social business. He is also Trustee, Global Steering Group for Impact Investment.

He is a hub of creating ecosystems in Japan for social innovation and impact. He is leading to create impact investment markets, impact measurement initiatives, philanthropic giving, fundraising, family philanthropy, legacy giving.

Aside from serving at the Economic Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, he also worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
